The Social Worker will play a key role in child protection activities within Helmand province. Main duties include
Assess children who are at risk through field visits community outreach and referrals
Prepare case plans with clear steps to ensure the safety of each child
Provide emotional support and counseling to children and their caregivers
Refer cases to healthcare education legal aid or psychosocial services
Conduct regular follow ups and maintain updated case files through the CPIMS Plus system
Collaborate with community child protection networks to reduce risks
Raise awareness about child rights and protection issues including PSEA
Support community initiatives that strengthen the protection of children
Ensure all case documents remain accurate organized and confidential
Document lessons learned achievements and challenges
Coordinate with case workers project teams and other social workers
Attend team meetings training sessions and supervision programs

High School graduate bachelor degree preferred
Minimum 3 years of experience in child protection social work or case management
Must be a local resident of Helmand Lashkargah Kajaki Garamsir Nawzad Bahramcha Musa Qala or Nahre Saraj
Fluent in Dari Pashto and English written and spoken
Commitment to child protection principles and do no harm standards
Strong understanding of working with vulnerable children
Ability to work under pressure and in multicultural environments
Skilled in teamwork communication and building community networks
Experience using MS Word Excel Access and internet is an advantage
