Job Description – Latest Acbar Jobs in Nangarhar 2025 – Jobs in Jalalabad
The MH/Disability Officer will support mental health and disability-inclusive activities in Nangarhar. This role focuses on promoting inclusion, accessibility, and participation for persons with disabilities and people with psychosocial needs.
Key tasks include community outreach, awareness sessions, referral pathways, coordination with service providers, data collection, reporting, and reducing stigma related to mental health and disability.
Main Duties & Responsibilities

Support planning and implementation of project activities.

Promote inclusion and participation of persons with disabilities.

Conduct awareness sessions on disability inclusion and psychosocial well-being.

Facilitate community-based support activities.
-
Identify individuals with psychosocial or disability-related concerns during field visits.

Provide basic supportive communication while ensuring safety and respect.
-
Refer beneficiaries to health, protection, rehabilitation, and psychosocial services.

Maintain confidential case documentation and follow-up records.

Coordinate with health facilities, disability service providers, and community leaders.

Attend related cluster meetings (Health, Protection, Disability Inclusion).

Maintain updated mapping of available support services.

Conduct sensitization sessions to reduce stigma and promote disability rights.

Engage caregivers, families, and community influencers.
-
Collect accurate data and prepare weekly and monthly reports.

Document success stories, challenges, and lessons learned.

Support monitoring visits and internal assessments.

Ensure safeguarding and protection standards are met.

Promote accessibility and inclusive feedback mechanisms.
