Key Role Purpose
The Vaccinator plays a critical role in strengthening Afghanistan’s immunization system by ensuring timely routine vaccinations, polio campaigns, and outreach services. This role involves working directly with communities, IDPs, returnees, women, and children to ensure protection against vaccine-preventable diseases.
Main Duties And Responsibilities

Conduct routine and outreach vaccination services in accordance with MoPH/EPI strategy.

Deliver awareness and health promotion sessions on Polio, Measles, Tetanus, Pneumonia, Malnutrition, and maternal-child health.

Maintain accurate records including micro-plans, EPI charts, defaulter registers, stock records, and outreach plans.

Ensure proper vaccine safety, storage, temperature monitoring, and immediate action during cold chain issues.

Prepare and submit monthly vaccination reports, VRF and MVAR forms accurately and on time.

Support disease surveillance, outbreak monitoring, and participate in community awareness campaigns.

Mobilize communities to increase immunization coverage, especially among hard-to-reach populations.

Enter data into KOBO system daily and ensure high-quality reporting.
