Job Description
The maid will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order within the home while assisting with daily household tasks. The position requires attention to detail, trustworthiness, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and common living areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust all surfaces
- Make beds and change bed linens regularly
- Wash, dry, fold laundry, and iron clothes when required
- Organize rooms, closets, and storage areas
- Empty trash and recycling bins daily
- Restock cleaning supplies and household essentials
- Report maintenance issues or required repairs to the employer
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist with meal preparation and grocery shopping when needed
- Take care of children and a pet dog when the family is not at home
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning is preferred (but not mandatory)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Honest, trustworthy, and respectful of privacy
- Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Ability to communicate in basic English
